Slick 50 or Lucas oil stabilizer

I always use an oil stabilizer b/c the car has so many miles, but which one do you think actually works ?

Personally, I think they accomplish little. Change your oil every 3000 miles. I prefer synthetic, and if you car has a ton of miles, use a heavier grade than what the factory recommended, something like 10W40/20W50 instead of 5W30/10W30.

I agree with Pete. Oil stabilizers only thicken the oil for better stability. You get the same effect with a slighty higher weight. And you get off cheaper. Like Pete said, something like 10W/40 is good, but I would use 20W50 in your car if it gets really high where you are, or your car is starting to burn a little oil.

actually it doesn't burn oil i just thought using a stabilizer with 10w30 gives more protection right ?

its all a selling thing (i m o). use moble 1 or something high quality. even the manual says not to put anything in your oil.
