ya my dark metallic purple is just as hard to keep clean as black one as far as im concerned an hour or so after i wash it i go outside and its covered in a white film of pollen... i almost didn't buy my car cause it was dark purple but so far since i got it in january all i have got was compliments cause people think its a "manly purple" i dont know but i would once again go with black if ur gonna get it painted cause it looks good on anything
