What is the purpose of thisswitch next to the fog light switch?

correction "second gear start" is designed to be used when when its wet or snowy you car will start in second saping your power and helping you grip also eats gass like its oreos......

Cuz I know it's for better traction with snow and rain but wasnt sure if you have to keep it on second gear.

No you don't have to put it in 2nd. It does it for you.
