I dont know if I would have enough patience to pull the manifold off with it still in the car.

Just got a call from the machine shop. One head is cracked. Taking them another one tomorrow that came off the original engine and hoping it is a good one.

Just picked up my heads from the shop, head bolts, gasket kit, bypass hose, t stat, plugs, oil, filter. antifreeze and hopefully will have some time tonight or tomorrow afternoon to start putting it back together. So far, $83 at machine shop, $200 at parts store and $10 for a angled troque guage. Shop said valves and stems looked good and did not need replacing. I hope they are right.

Finally had enough time today to get everything buttoned back up. Fired it up and boy, this engine runs like its another engine. Hopefully it will last a little while. That angle torque meter is a real PITA to use under the cowl!
