Removing/Bypassing EGR Valve
Hi Guys,
I've tried searching for this but haven' found the answer yet. I'm thinking of blanking off the egr valve onmy 93 3.4 v6. I think it's gone bad and as our smog laws in the UK aren't as strict as yours I think it would be ok. If I just unplug the valve connector and blank of the hole that goes to the inlet manifold will it throw the SES light on? Is there any way to do this without the light coming on?
Looking for advice on this one as it's not something I've done before. I'm only doing it as I think the valve has gone bad and they are so expensive to buy here, i figure, if i dont need it, i'll get around it.
I will try cleaning the vlave ports out first, but if it doesn't work I'd like to blank it off while its still all apart, rather than put it back together and then take it apart again...
thanks
