My oil pressure is gone. At startup it's fine. After it's warmed up, idles like crap, pressure drops to zero, starts smoking, rods start knocking and then it dies.

I'm at my wits end. I JUST finished up installing all new hoses and was simply running it to bleed the air out, then this started happening during the bleed. This car is a freaking nightmare. Everything about it is sucking and I'm sick of bloody knuckles already and I've only had the thing two weeks.

Is this sounding like a spun rod bearing?

 

sounds like bearing failure due to lack of or no pressure.You should always turn a car off immediately at the first sign of low or no oil pressure.

 

sounds like oil pump, it has failed or on the verge and only works for a bit. which would cause the lack of pressure due tedo no oil being pump throughout the engine. don't try and keep starting it, its like trying to breath in outer space, no air no go. No oil in engine, no go. What's the mileage on the car? whats your oil level at?
