I was wondering if you could still buy a new throttle body for the 98 L36 motor

 

Why do you need one? Those are usually pretty durable. I dont know if GM still has them but you can get one off a wrecked car. You can use 96-98 units, 99-02 are different.

No real reason. I was just wondering cause I've looked through auto part stores and catalogs and they don't sell them. I was just curious.

 

Well in that case... There are no aftermarket ones that I know of available. The 99-02 units are available as replacement items due to the equipment inside them. They are pretty good reliability wise tho so they are kinda hard to find and not cheap.
