Default My 2000 V6 Camaro is Leaking Water???

Hi,

I just noticed that my 2000 V6 Camaro has started to leak water? I drove it around and as usual and the temperature seems to be fine? But, it is leaking water? Does anyone know what this could be? And where I should start to diagnose what is going on?

Thanks for your time, you guys have saved my car in the past.

Too many things to list, look at it while its running and see if you can tell where its coming from
some places -
block
radiator
radiator hoses to engine
thermostat housing
overflow tank
windshield washer tank
some small coolant line running somewhere

It looks like its may be coming from the water pump but I can't reallytell. Its dripping from that area. You think its the water pump? What kind of job am I looking at if its just the water pump? I've done the fuel pump before and it took me all day. I'm wondering if I should just have the shop do this one?

Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks.

Water pump is cake. Remove belt, remove pulley, remove pump, remove old gasket, install new gasket, new pump, pulley, and lastly the belt. I'm thinking there was one other step, but that's all I can remember right now. May take awhile getting bolts off though. Some are on there tight.

the 3.8 waterpump/thermo is the easiest job ever. it takes 20 mins.

Well I replaced the water pump that didn't fix it. I think its coming from whatever is behind the water pump?

I also tried putting some waterpump silicon in the bolt holes and that didn't help either. I am pretty sure it is coming from the gasket between the engine and the timing cover? It looks, from a diagram I got, that the water flows into or out of the engine through that gasket as well. And I think that is where it is leaking from? I don't notice any coolant in the oil or vise versa. I am curious what I am in for if I try to repair this on by myself?
