Default Muffler help

I want to install a glasspack muffler on my 1997 3.8. I went to my local autoparts store and was told in order to install the glasspack i would need to mod. my exhaust by cutting the pipes because the glasspack would be too long. Is this true and do you know of any tips to help make this easier?

the only place you have the room for a glass pack is where the cat is and i dont suggest removing that as you have an o2 sensor after it and you will throw codes also your state might require cats

Why in the world would you want to but a GP on a Camaro. Do you like your car to sound like a cheap broken POS? you will not gain and power, you will only make people laugh at you or at least shake their heads wondering what the h#ll are you doing? If you want the car to sound good and not spend an arm and leg use a stock Z28 muffler and tips. That gives the 3800 a nice sound with out making it sound ghetto and cheap.

^Same muffler that I have. It sounds as good as it will get for the v6 without running a true dual exhaust system ($$$$$$$$$)
