more freeze plugs problems

i live down here in miami andi recentlty went up to orlando for a convention. i came back down to notices that my coolent was low. the leak is coming from near the transmission, same place like the last 2 time. i already put cooper freeze plug but after about a year now it leaks. any other method people, my dad said he wants to welled the center of the plug. what do u all think?

You can't weld copper. Solider yes, but you have to have everything CLEAN. If your dad wants to try solidering the plug, make sure the Fire Dept is on speed dial. The block is going to act like a HUGE heat sink, meaning a LOT of heat will be needed along with more then average skill.

If you're going to try an alternative fix, I'dtry awaterproof epoxy. If it were my car, it would get a new plug along with antifreeze. The stuff does more then just keep water from freezing.

yes pete i use antifreeze, i dont want to weld the plug in there just the center part of the plug. the plug seems to burst from the center of the plug. he thinks if u weld the center of the plug then put it back there then no more leak.

Put a new plug in & avoid setting car on fire. Use a brass one this time.

ok i got copper material freeze plug and im planing on putting water epoxy in the center of the plug.....someone also recommand that i weld the center of it instead or BC weld........
