Default Rear Freeze Plugs....Help!

Hey everyone,

so i got a 79 rs witht he 305 2barrel and i think its a turbo 350 tranny. the problem im having today is that the rear freeze plugs... i think.... are leaking. ive already replaced the other 6 on the engine,< 4 on the sides 2 in the front> and they were totally rusted thru. So it wouldn't surprise me if there is 2 behind the engine in front of the fly wheel. < am i right here?> also whats going to be easier. moving back or dropping the tranny? or removing the engine to get to them? lowest cost i could find to do this work was 450+ and that's even checking Craigslist. i don't mind doing the work, i just dont know what im about to do with dropping the tranny or pulling the engine. so any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.
