Magnaflow Vs. Flowmaster: The final battle
#51
I'm running the Flowmaster cat-back system and get compliments on the sound. I really like it because it's not too loud at idle and not too raspy in higher RPMs. I won't say it was any better than a Magnaflow, because I doubt it is. But, it was a good investment for the money. I've had it on the car for 2&1/2 years and it still looks new.

Ok, just remember, both are going to sound crappy at high rpms. That is why true duals were suggested. All the videos you saw on youtube with those exhausts sounded that way because they sound that way.

my stainless exhaust was put on the car 9 days after it was originally bought on feb 28th 95 (i have ALL the service records i bought the car from a dealer he bought it off his own lot for a sunday cruser but he sold it to me private) and its still MINTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT only problem ive seen with it is the hanger on the pass side in the rear broke a small chunk of pipe out where it was welded but it wasnt rot i think it was stress from not having the hanger at the cat anymore

Be sure to get the 80 series muffler and not the 40 series. The 40 series will sound TERRIBLE.

yes i know this but flowmaster definitely souns better longer.. magnaflow definitely has a worse farting sound then flowmaster. flowmaster you have to really be up there for it to start popping. magnaflow starts off pretty much from hitting the gas it seems like =p

i have a flowmaster on my other car, but the thrush super turbo muffler sounded better that the flowmast on my camaro... it was more crisp and not raspy... it sounds like a z28 with a stock exhaust
