I DID THE SCAN!
ok so i went into auto zone, got the scanner and did the darn thing.
it read it in like less than a minute and 2 different things came up
1. random/multiple cylinder misfire detected.
2. manfacurer cotrol auxiliary emission controls.
thats what came up. any idea to what is causing the problem. is the second one a o2 censor?
any help would be apreciated, if i take it into a shop here and tell them what it read, they will want to do a scan themselves and charge me like 80 bucks.

no idea bout other one. sorry.
Random misfire is usually due to ignition problems or lean fuel mixture.
As for the second problem, this is a propritary code and the scanner used by AutoZone doesn't know how to interperter the code. You need to get the code number and then we can look it up in a chart.

i will check all the wires and spark plugs.. i kno i can test each individual spark plug by pulling it out and checking for the spark.. how can i test the coils? each one runs me abou 45 bucks. i dont just wanna buy them and have that not be the problem.
The coils should be good, otherwise you would get individual cylider misfires. Most likely the ignition module under the coils, or a failing crank position sensor. In any case, AutoZone can test the coils and ignition module.
I think it could be the 02 sensor in your catalytic converter. If the cat has failed or is clogged it will cause all kinds of fuel and ignition problems. Similiar things happpened to me and it ended up being a recall on the passenger side catalytic converter. I got it replaced by the dealership for free. Maybe this will help you.
