Get a turbo if you want boost. It's far easier... Ask me how I know xD
You going to do a build thread? PM me if I can help. I have access to a non-automotive machine shop. I can not grind cranks or do a valve job but I can make just about type of braket.

Nah probably not. I have access to a full CNC machine shop whenever I like so I'll do most of that myself. I may not end up doing an M90 build after all (or finishing mine) as I may be buying a V8 F-Body this spring. Depends on if I get another raise or no

As for the intake, it's mostly bent aluminum with a BFH

The way I see it fellas... If you can do the work yourself, neither is any worse than the other. Turbo makes more hp on the whole, but a supercharger makes INSTANT hp as well as much simpler in terms of parts. Once you get the supercharger to fit, it's much easier to make it work than it is a turbo. Turbo has a lot of oiling issues and will be up and down all the time. Be smart with the boost and you won't have any problems.

I am going the V8 route myself. I picked one up a few weeks ago off a craigs list. I am going to do a low buget build on it. I hope to hit 350hp to the wheel for under 3K total including the car. Might be tuff cause it needs tires

In other other type of racing that allows turbo and supercharges the turbo almost always win out. All except drag racing. The instant power you mentioned is why. You will have a tuff time finding an Automatic trans or supercharger in any race car other then a drag car. They are out there but hey are few and far between.

I just prefer superchargers in general. No lag and less maintenance intensive. Yes I will make less power, big deal. I'll be one of the VERY few and far between with an M90 strapped to their Camaro lol.

I always wondered how hard it would be to make a revised intake manifold - to reverse the blower, and use a side-mounted layshaft, just like the LS1-LS3 Maggies do...
