Default GTP supercharger ?

does the supercharged 3800 series II from a gtp fit inside a 96 camaro? i know the engine will, but the supercharger is my wonder..the throttle body is on the back... that is my concern... i read around and people say it will fit, but however i am leary of that statement. has anybody ever done so?

the short answer is no, it will not fit, physicially yes it will but for the money your going to spend just to make 60 more horses, its not worth it

If it's less than the $1k some spend on LT headers & Y for ~20 HP, it is worth it.

go on ftv6 and ask inferno...it took him almost a year and he struggled the whole time. then when he finially got it running something went wrong and nuked the pistons. like i said...it just isint worth it...if you want a supercharger get a powerdyne

I am currently working on an M90 swap. The entire intake system has to be custom fabricated. And Inferno only borked his pistons because he went over the top.

Get a turbo if you want boost. It's far easier... Ask me how I know xD

The hp gains might not be awesome but what are the touque gains? I know on the ford 3.8's the m90 equipped supercoupe engines made over a 100 more ft lbs than their n/a cousins.

An m90 3800 camaro running 7 lbs of boost through a t5 with 9.5:1 cr will gain about 80rwhp. More if you throw in heads and a nice cam

welll...to me turbo is the way to go...sure after some work a M90 WILL fit but for the money your gonna spend on custom stuff you could be spending on performance parts to further increase the output on a turbo app
