Fuel Filter (How To:)
Just a quick how to on how to do a quick fuel filter change out on a 4th gen 3.4 liter Camaro. Mine happens to be a 95.
You will need 2 wrenches and a fuel filter .. that is it.
If you look on the underside of the frame rail on the drivers side right next to the rear axle.. it's right there. It is a cylinder shaped and about 4 inches long clamped on.
First thing you will need to do is remove your gas cap to let the pressure out of your tank.
Secondly, your gonna craw under the car. I used a jack to make it a little bit easier to craw under.
On the fuel filter there is a quick connect on one side and a nut..ish looking bolt on the other.
Disconnect the quick connect and some gas will drain out of it. (I got about half a glass out of it.)
Once the gas has drained take your two wrenches. (One to hold one nut still, the other to twist it off)
Once you get the nut off, pull the line out of the filter.
Then repeat the steps backwards to put the Filter back on.
Close your gas cap then put the key in the "on" and let the fuel pump run for around 5 seconds before you try and start it. (You are letting the air out of the lines and pushing fuel to the injectors.)
Now try starting it and you're good to go!
ps.. Don't forget to close your gas cap!
I've tried to add photos.. but can not figure out. If you would like pictures p.m. me.
