Default cylinder 1 misfire??? wierd one.

alright this ones got me, ive got a cylinder one misfire on my 96 camaro rs. what ive done: new plug wires, new ngk plugs, switched coils to see if the one that #1 plug is on with one of the others that i know are good checked the wires and connection on the fuel injector. i really dont know what else it could be, is there a sensor that could cause just a #1 misfire. ive also been told it could be the cat gunked up but coud that cause just a cylinder #1 misfire and not a multiple misfire? any ideas???

also when i rev the motor up to about 2500 rpm theres a tick(knock) coming from around the #1 cylinder side of the motor, and it gets worst at around 4000 rpm.

alright i checked the injector on cylinder 1 visually it looks good but to maked sure i swapped it with one of the other injectors and the missfire didnt follow the injector its still cylinder 1 misfire. also i drove it after i got it all back together and sitting there it runs good, but when it heats up i can feel the misfire, especially when i get on it (4000 rpm+)

Don't think so. With those you usually get a code for running lean or running rich, and a random misfire. Not normally a specific cylinder.
