Default cheap power adder?

allright, so i am lookin to make my 3.8 a lot more powerful. but i want to do somethin that is more long term than nitrous.

i am not ignorant enough to believe that i have an indestrucable block, its just that as it sits right now, i can stay with anything thats 5 liters or below. iam not sayin that there hasnt been exception, ( way too many i might add) its just that i would like to build a sleeper for the time being.

so my question is this, short of blowin the **** out of it with nitrous, what are some good alternatives for upgrading my 3.8?

and just for ****s and giggles, lets say that i have like 3 grand to work withv

thanks,
and appreciate all feedback.

by the way, many of you are gonna say to just get a v8. well i have one, but i would like to have fun with my six for just a lil while longer

there are many things to add "power" like cold air intakes, exhaust systems, ect... It also has to look good visually, i've seen all to many Camaros that look like crap. I personally don't like to race mine but i like to turn a few heads.

you can upgrade you gears, get some headers , geta a good cam, if u got the money u could supercharge it but it might burn out the engine faster.
