I'm looking for the best power adder there is on a relatively stock engine. Let me know your opinions.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough in my post. I was asking for systems of superchargers and turbocharges and your experiences.

 

nitrous is the best power adder hands down, i would choose a nice nitrous setup over a supercharger any day

 

Superchargers-Vortech, Procharger, Powerdyne. Turbos- STS turbos are the only turbo kit I know of. It also depends on how much power you want and how much you want to spend.

ive heard many opinions on the best nitrous setup. I was wondering what do ya'll think is the best nitrous kit? What kits do ya'll run and were there any problems with them?

 

Due to the compression and the fact that LSx motors do not have forged pistons, you can only run about 8 psi and still be safe. This will get you about 100 rwhp or so. It will also cost at least $3000 for a supercharger and at least $5000 for a Turbo. Thye advantage of course, is that your power is always there. Nitrous on the other hand is only going to cost you about $800-1000 for a complete set up with all the saftey features (the kit itself is only about $500). LSx motors love nitrous and you can run up to a 150 shot, and be fine. The diadvantage is that the bottle needs to be refilled, which will cost about $40 depending on where you live. NOS, NX, Nitrous Express and Edlebrock all make goo kits. Wheather you go wet or dry depends on how much you paln on spraying and your budget.

 

i would take a supercharger over nitrous anyday.
