Hi all,


So I'm running a 99' 3.8L Stock 5-Speed. Got the car off a dead old lady for $2900 with only 70k at her Estate Sale. Good deal right? lol.

Anyway, the Cat got all clogged up and the car wouldn't drive, so I had a friend take apart the exhaust and clean out the Cat. Car ran great when I got it back. 5 days later and I can hear the early stages of it getting clogged up again. (Hissing noise and loss of power).

So, I have a little bit of money saved up from selling my S10 blazer, and it sounds like its time for a new Cat....heck why not a new Cat-Back set? If I have some $$$ left over maybe some new headers.

I don't like it when the V-6 sounds like a Ricer, (which is inevitable to a degree), but I want a good clean Cheaper Cat-Back suggestion.

What about Emissions? I have to renew my Tabs at the end of April.

I have Maganaflow cat-back exhaust and it sounds great. To me Maganaflow has that good deep quality sound, where as other exhaust are loud but sound like a honda or just extremely raspy.

 

So is that what you think about Borla's V6 offering too? Have you heard it? It seems Borla gives you more options as well as 3 in. pipes and block-off plate options to vary the sound...
