Default Need suggestions!!!

hello just got a 1992 Camaro RS, stock V6, starts and idles great, but when in drive it runs rough, slow lack of power, one freeze plug is leaking small drops, it doesnt burn or leak oil, ill be doing a tune up on it tomorrow, see how it runs after that, if its still ruing poor might consider idk any suggestions? put money into the engine try to bring it back to life, swap it with a 350 or a newer V6? any suggestion would be great, thanks in advance,

Oh its a V6, I was hoping that it was equipped with a 305. A 350 swap is going to be more and more costly now. Now that I have seen pictures of your car, I now suggest that you just get the car in good running condition and restore it.

On the surface of things (no pun intended), it looks like the engine hasn't been maintained much. I would check the air cleaner, and also get a spray can of MAF sensor cleaner and clean the MAF and air intake sensor. If those are dirty, it can make a big difference, for the worse, in performance.

I don't know much about V6's, but I'm sure something like a 3.8 liter would fit in your car. A few modifications would have to be made. This forum is filled with knowledgeable V6 owners, I'm sure that they can help you.
