Hello, I have a 2002 v6, and I have to replace the belt tensioner. It seems pretty straight forward as taking the bolts and hoses out, taking the belt off, etc... but I have a few questions:
1. What are these hoses? What flows through them? Do I need to block them off?


2. Is this replacement as easy as I think it's going to be? I have the entire assembly so that's not a problem; I just don't know if I'll need any more parts, or if there is more I need to do to the car before I start taking things apart.

those are the heater hoses and if you got the intire part then yes you will need to take the hoses off. make sure to replace the plastic elbows.

 

Alright thank you! I figured that was that I would need to take them out. One more question, what is the fluid that runs through it called?
