Default AUTO tips?

I just got an automatic 01 z28 after having driven a 5spd 94 v6 for years. I got a bit too used to working a manual, are there any small things I could do to get the most out of the automatic transmissin?

Look for a shift kit. That will make it hold out each shift to a higher rpm, and the tranny will "slam" a little harder when it shifts. It's actually good for them, less slipping = less wear.

plan on bringing it to the track ever?
you could get a stall, lol..

edit: or, you could always get a stall and new rear end and have some sweet launches, lol.

the auto tranny as far as the Z is concerned it better for draging stock. becuse the first gear is steeper so you can launch harder. honestly the best way to practice auto launching is to do a few burnouts. once you know how far you have to rev em up to spin em with the break on.you wanna rev it to just under that point then when youve got thelast yellow light (assuming your at the track) let go of the break and mash the gas let your tranny do the rest.
