Would a new camshaft for my Maro give it a deeper aggressive tone? Horsepower?

 

Oh yeah, big sound, pretty good performance increase.
I'll pull a vid from youtube for you.
If you get headers/tune/bigger cam, you might see close to 100 hp.

Cammed v6 Camaro

 

Thats koo, all i have on my Maro is flowmaster catback, k & n air filter, magnflow catalytic converter, getting headers soon and also the cam. So your saying my Maro would reach close to 300 HP?

Its all about the cam specs, if you get a pretty big one, you'll be able to see a huge difference.

the way a cam will change your sound is not like a deeper or meaner sound youll hear the moving of the cam gears instead of a constant vroooooooooooom its more of a umm

baroom....baroom.....baroom......baroom.....baroom

 

I know thats the kind of noise I want. It does that baroom baroom noise, for example if your stopped at a red light and you could just hear it like crazy.

Alot more places to shop than Summit. You may say "but it's for a Grand Prix", but it's the same. It would be a good idea to upgrade your valvetrain when swapping out a cam.
