Exclamation Building stroker in 95z auto...needing some tuning tips

Hey guys. This is my first thread on the site. I've been reading them alot, and as an ASE certified machinist, I think you guys know your stuff. Anyways, I am building a 383 Stroker for my 95z. I already put the short block together yesterday. I was just wondering where I can actually talk to someone about getting it tuned for a cam. My list of mods consist of....Pacesetter 1 3/4 mid-tubes with Y-pipe, ported and polished with 2.02/1.6 stainless steel valve heads (done by yours truly cuz thats my job anyway lol), flowmaster muffler w/ cat removed, and I am installing a transpak shift kit by B&M before the engine goes back in.

Any answers as to who to talk to about tuning would be greatly appreciated. OH YEAH by the way has anyone seen that www.lt1pcmtuning.com website. What are you thoughts about that guy?? Thanks

i think you should find a reputable dyno shop near you and have it dyno tuned.

i agree here with rob...however for some of us like me, the closest dyno is 7 hours away so he would probably need a decent tune in the mean time

I agree with what others have said about PCMforLess, I've only heard good things about them, price and performance wise. You can also try contacting Pete at www.dragonrace.com I believe they still do mail order PCM tunes as well. The best option is always going to be a full dyno tune, but the trick is finding someone who has the correct software to edit the LT1 PCM and knows what they're doing.

Thanks guys for the input. No I dont have a selection made yet about my cam, and probably wont. Our cam people we use at the shop are really good. i'll call them and tell them what I got and then they will grind me one for my custom application. I'm like Whammer, the closest dyno shop that is creditable and has LT1 programs is 8 hours away. I believe I'm going to get the Tunercats software and try to tune myself, but i am also going to look at the suggested sites. I appreciate all the info.

Look for updates, pictures, and videos in the near future. Oh yeah and of course more questions. Also, if any of you need answers bout machine work feel free to ask, I'll do my best to steer you in the right direction, and if i cant I know some people.

Thanks again
