I've got trouble with my AC and heating. When i turn it on it sounds like the fan goes crazy. Its very loud and very annoying. I don't knw much bout cars and was wonderin if anyone has had a problem like this. thanks

 

So replace the blower fan.

Might involve pulling the dash to get to it, though...

Sounds likea bearing is going out on your blower motor. You can pick them up at places like kragen and autozone. It is about a $50 part. The way you get to it in the 4th gens (at least 98-02) is by opening the glove box, and pushing in on the two sides so the glove box door so it opens up all the way. The blower motor is somewhere in that area and that is how you access it. Just be careful when working around in that area because you might set off the airbag. You should probably disconnect the battery before replacing the blower motor.
