Default 95 V6 Camaro has hole in Valve cover??

Hey, Just curious if the valve cover on the left is supposed to have a hole in it. The pvc valve is on the right valve cover, and I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a grommit for the left or not. When I start the car up, I hear a very loud whistling noise, as if there is a vacuum leak somewhere, so again, now I'm not sure if there is supposed to be either a vacuum hose on the left cover, or if it's just a closed grommit that needs to be put on. Thanks for your help!

-Jay.

(BTW I checked all of the vacuum hoses for any leaks, made sure everything is tight, and I can't seem to find out where the noise is coming from. I'm not real sure if the hole has to do with it, or if there is a missing vacuum hose. Any help is greatly appreciated!!)

Sorry, didn't clarify, when I mean the right side, I mean the drivers side, as if you're standing in front of the hood. The hole in the valve cover is on the passenger side, and that is where the noise is also coming from.

93 3.4 has a crankcase vent hose from the tb or tb elbow to the pas side valve cover.

On the 3.4L the hole on the passenger side valve cover is the Crankcase Ventilation Hose grommet. There is supposed to be a hose that goes from there to the intake tube. On the drivers side, the hole is for the PCV valve. See attached schematic. I will take a look at the diagram for the 3.8, if that is what you have. Let me know.

I hope this helps.

Thank you everyone for your help. x01660, it's a v6 3.4, that is the right schematic. I'm just curious though, on the intake tube, there are only 2 tubes that can have hoses on it. The hose coming from the pcv valve, and another hose that wraps around the back side of the engine, going to the lower right side of the drivers side. The Tee looks like it was a make shift, so I'm thinking that there is supposed to be a 3 piece hose I can get to connect all 3 hoses.

In the schematic, what is part numbers 197 & 199 Called? That seems to be the piece many are missing, along with a deteriorated rubber mating grommet to the valve cover.
