Default 93 v6 driveshaft question

My friend has a 93 v6 camaro and her drive shaft broke. Its a two peice Driveshaft... She told me that she needs a drive shaft from a manual trans because an automatic driveshaft wont work...I asked my friend and he says it should work but they have different output shafts so u have to change the u joint. I found a driveshaft on ebay and I asked the guy selling it if it is from an auto or manual and he said they are the same...I was also told that as long as its a 2 piece it doesnt matter if it is from auto or manual they are swappable. I just want to get the story straight and get her this part so she can drive to work again.

get a one piece from any 4th gen camaro. aluminum works best on a 6, you gain a very small amount but if you getting a one piece shaft anyways may as well pick up a aluminum one if you can find one for a good price. to my knowledge all the 4th gen camaro driveshafts are interchangeable.
