I had dreams of a v8 swap but I hear its not cheap at all...So what engines will fit? or should I try a rebuild and upgrade??? (1997, 3800 II)

 

It's cheaper to buy a used engine. And pretty much every 3.8 from 96 up will fit. Here the link that has all the info on what you need to swap out off your engine. Half way Down is the list of cars you can take engines from.
