I'm not completely sure, but I dont think replacing the oil sending unit is gonna do anything about your spuddering. I had an oil leak a few months ago, and even when my low oil light would come on I didnt have a spudder... so I am gonna say chances are the two problems are not gonna be fixed by the same thing. Just thought Id let you know you will probably have to do more than just the oil sending unit.. but that will for sure fix your gauge... and if your low oil light is not coming on you dont have low oil so dont have to worry about running it on no oil.

 

What is the oil pressure supposed to be at?
