i was hoping u were using 5w30 and that was what was causing the low pressure. try some 20w40 next time u change oil. dont use a fram filter either.

The cheapo orange filter is the one to avoid. Their TG and other heavy duty filters don't have the same faulty bypass design and are fine to use.
In addition to heavier oil, you may want to also put in a bottle of oil additive, such as STP, that's made to help with engine wear.
If you put in heavier weight oil and your pressure goes up noticeably, you have internal bearing wear issues with the engine (crank main, rod, and cam bearings). Thicker oil would be buying you some time, but serious engine work would be in the future.

Go down about half the page and read about the Fram Extra Guard

Just change oil in my 93 z28 with 109xxx miles and got a little more oil pressure. I use 15w40 with stp oil filter. Got the car 1200 buck freeway speeds oil pressure is around 50 at idle its around 35. Is that good?

AC Delco filters are very good. But I use the STP filter, which just so happens to be a re-labeled AC Delco (same filter), plus it's usually a whopping $.50 cheaper.
And Nick, your oil pressure sounds fine, especially considering the miles.
