1994 camaro 3.4 v6 Alternator

Default 1994 camaro 3.4 v6 Alternator

Hello,I have a bad alternator,no bearing noise,but not putting out the voltage.I found a rebuild kit online.Its a GMA -03 do I also need a GMA-03-2 anyone know???

Can't say for sure, but you probably will need the regulator. The problem could be a shorted or open diode(s) (first kit 03) or a bad regulator (03-2) or more likely, both. And to replace the diode pack, you will need a high-powered soldering iron (at least 150 watts)

I was told that these years have no diodes just the rectifier regulator,brushes and bearings.
but thats why im on here to make sure.and yes I have a good soldering iron in need to.

There are 6 diodes in the rectifier assembly

ok I see,so if I get both kits I should have everything.
