Default Transd Issue 95 Camaro

Recently had trans rebuilt. When making any type of turns from a dead stop, it takes it a while to shift. Like the clutch isn't fully disengaging. It only happens if the car is literally in the turn, any other time it's fine.

I really don't know how else to explain it, sorry.

Your explanation is confusing me. You say disengaging do you mean engaging? When you say it takes awhile to shift do you mean shift into another gear? Or do you mean it takes awhile to go?

If you just had it rebuilt head back to the place that rebuilt it. They should be able to tell you with a test drive what going on.

Problems going around corners tend to be rear end issues, although on a slow sharp corner there can be slightly more stress on the trans.

Is this a manual or automatic?

The guy who rebuilt it passed away, so his shop closed...

I'll try to get a video of it. It takes a while to shift. I go from a dead start, start making the turn, it usually gets up to about 4,000 RPM before it will shift. It never goes about more than 15mph while doing this either. I should add that it only does this when it's cold outside... Too much fluid maybe? Not a transmission person.

15 MPH and 4000 RPM means your transmission to converter is going bad. You should have another shop test drive it.

If someone way overfilled the the trans with fluid it could do this. Most likely you have already damaged the transmission if you have been driving it that way.

Woohoo, good to know. Will have another shop take a look at it.

Thanks!
