Speedo doesn't work after installing rebuilt transmission 1995z28 4l60e

Default Speedo doesn't work after installing rebuilt transmission 1995z28 4l60e

Just had the trans rebuilt and after I insalled it the speedo doesn't work and before it worked just fine

take the speed sensor outa the trans and see if the rotor is in there. has teath that the sensor counts as they go by. also make sure its in all the way, dont abuse it,,, lol, and make sure that the plugin is in right.

i tried that too and it still doesn't work

get ahold of the shop that rebuilt it and let them know you have an issue. sure sounds like something didnt get installed right like the rotor. the rotor is in there right?

it's all in there. I just had a chance to look at it today and found out there's no power to the vss wires. How do I fix that?

You don't say what year car you have or which motor it's equipped with. Have you checked any for DTC codes? It's my understanding the VSS is a permanent magnet generator that's produces its own signal voltage that is sent to the PCM where it is converted to vehicle speed. Here are several VSS DTC troubleshooting charts from the 1998 service manual that may help you find your problem.

First thing I would do is look at what the computer is seeing. If the computer is not seeing any speed the car would not come out of first gear.
