Reverse is royally screwed.

you take your shifter out by removing the consoul, then theres a plate with 4 bolts, one on each corner, pull those and the plate should lift up with the shifter and all, you may want to get that the two bolts that hold your stick in proper location are both there and tightened... i had a problem with mine, one was out and one was lose, and i couldnt get the car into rev. because the path to rev is so tight do to the lockout system, hope that helps at all

Jesu Christo man, did you even look at the link I posted? Scroll down to page 90, it shows an exploded view of your trans. And the following pages show a tear-down starting with the shifter removal.

Yes sir I see it. The pics are small and I'm not mechanical savvy. So I got the shifter out. Everything looks okay there. Now I need to take out the shift linkage and see if its bent I guess. Right?

Judging by the first post only.... It sounds like you have a shifter linkage issue. It's likely because your trans is half an inch lower than it should be. That happened to me with my Camaro and it torched my torque converter.
Get a transmission mount that is made for your car and see if it improves. If it doesn't, you probably damaged the linkage. Reverse does not have a syncro so if your linkage/shifter will not fully engage the gear, it will pop out instead of go into gear.
The humming is due to reverse being straight cut and not syncro'd btw.

Aldo BC, that's a great price on that tranny. It would probably cost $300 to have it shipped though.
