Reverse is royally screwed.

Since you said this all started after you changed to a different tranny mount, using the right one, or making absolutely sure what you have on is at the right height is what makes the most amount of sense. If for no other reason, to rule the mount out if by some off chance it's just a dumb coincidence.

No it wasn't torn after all. The hydraulic mount is two pieces that work together. The metal tab that holds them together bent and so it was letting my tranny flop around under the car. I bent eh tabs back with a vise and a hammer. Should be ready to rock. Hopefully this fixes it. I won't be able to do it til Saturday though. On a better note, I'm about to order a LED cluster kit for my car. It's gonna shine like the 4th of July!

So the washers didn't help. The old mount didn't help. Now I need to take my shifter out of my tranny and see if there's something wrong there. Anyone wanna tell me exactly what to look for and how to remove my shifter? Thanks!

I Wish I could help you, but I will add that I break a lot of mounts in my V6 too, So I know your pain. But mine is an auto (98).

I've tried 4 brands of 'solid' mounts just to see them break in half and see that they aren't actually solid.

I just got my first hydraulic mount 2 days ago, so we'll see how that holds up.

Not helpful but just thought i'd inject.

Best of luck though!
