I think the "angle" you see is just the pic. Look at this pic...

Yeah, pictures can play tricks on you, I was wondering if what you see is what you get.
Still...the "hydraulic" makeup of the mount. I would research that more to see if anybody else had the same problem you have by not using the stock designed mount.

I've searched it everywhere. Fbodyonline.com, LS1tech.com, CamaroForums.com, etc... I can't find anything on it. But I know that if I put another hydro in there, I'll rip it apart within a week with all the racing I do.

could find some 1/2 in hard rubber mat, like they use on conveyer belts, and cut a piece to fit in between the mount and crossmember.

But, are you sure (positive, certain, without a doubt) you got the new mount built up to the right height? Another thing to check, is how much end play (in and out) you have with the slip yoke on the trans. Is it bottoming out by chance? That's something that could happen if the tail of the trans is sitting too low.

Oh good, that'll be 150 bucks then, you can paypal me!
The front yoke on your driveshaft, that slips onto the splined output shaft of the trans is called........you guessed it, a slip yoke. When the car is sitting on the ground, it wants to be about 1/2" out from being fully (bottomed out) in the trans. The length is determined by where the trans is sitting (height wise) down to where it fits to the rearend. In your case with the v6, you have a two-piece driveshaft with a center pillow bearing mounted to the frame. The driveshaft is angled down towards the rearend. Now, if you drop the transmission down more than it should be, that will be driving the slip yoke deeper into the tail of the trans. If yours was a close fit to begin with, and if the rear of trans is lower than it wants to be, the slip yoke could be bottoming out. Geometry=lowering the trans shortens the gap between point a and point b. Did that help?

Yes! Thanks lol. I get it now. So basically my driveshaft could be going too far into the trans if my trans is too low. So to contradict it, I need to raise the tranny up some more. Good news.
