Moved your thread to 4th gen tech section.
First thing is check to make sure nobody stole your driveshaft.
Then while trying to make the car go, have someone else look at the driveshaft. If it's turning, your rearend is blown, but then you should have heard that one go bang.
With a driveshaft in tact, and not spinning, then that means you have either a bad clutch assembly, the input or output shaft of the trans snapped, or something inside the transmission broke. Either way, those mean dropping the trans.

If the rear broke or the driveshaft fell out he should getting some speedometer readings. Assuming the speedo is not moving you should hope for a clutch but expect a blown input shaft/counter gear trans. 383 tend to make a lot of torque, more than a stock 6 speed can handle.

That assume it feels right when you are shifting and the car will not go into any gear. Also if the clutch feels right but is bad you rev the motor in gear you should get a burning smell.
