Ok guys. Need a little advice. First off, I practically have no reverse left. When I first bought the car I had to hold Reverse in gear or else it would pop out. Now it just slips and still pops out even when I try to hold it in gear. 3rd gear and 5th gear both grind when the engine is under normal operating temps. Once it warms up 3rd doesn't grind, but 5th still will at times. And when running hard from 1st gear 2nd will grind but will go into gear. I'm thinking it needs a rebuild. What do you guys think? Do you agree? If so how difficult is it to rebuild a transmission? There is a local guy here that does really good work but I was wondering if I could do it myself. I'm planning to get a rebuild kit from Tick Performance. Probably a stage 2 kit, with slightly upgraded parts and the 2000+ viper gears. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know.
