Default Driveline noise

2002SS aniversary ,11000 miles has chattering noise on decel. Clutch in no noise, all new bearings when changing from 3.42 to 4.11 same noise. torque arm tight ,trans mount good,on throttle no noise, coast or decel noise, clutch in no noise. Was told these cars transfer alot of driveline noise? any suggestions? Thanks Larry

look for any cables or such that could be rubbing the driveshaft. the rearend will move up and down a little with throttle up or down. any indication of where its coming from, location

it is not a rubbing type noise, it sounds like spider gear chatter on a worn out open diff.

sounds like a throw out bearing. maybe a dry universal joint. better check the brakes and make sure they are not dry, need to have anti chatter grease on the backside of the pads, thats all i can think of.
