So the fuse is not blown but switching to a heavier fuse fix's it? That makes no sense. A fuse does not have resistance. There is no electrical reason as to why that would make a difference. My guess would be you had some kind of defective fuse or you have a intermittent problem that just happened to start working when you changed the fuse.

Running 3x larger fuse is still dangerous for the reasons I stated about, IF you get a short in that circuit it will catch fire before it will blow the fuse.

yea man that's the only thing i can think of that would cause that to happen. i'm going to do a little investigating when i get home. but neither the less it still confused the crap out of me at first.

i want to put a touchscreen radio in my car. what size will fix and how would i go about installing it?

i think you can get a double din conversion kit that will work.

If you go to Best buy they will give a quote with all the parts numbers of what is needed. They make the double din kit and the steering wheel control adapter, if you have controls in your wheel. They even have kits for automatic backup cameras.

why do 96's have disc brakes in the front but drums in the back???

All V6 had that until 98 except the Y87 performance option. What most people don't realize is the back brakes only do about 15% of the braking in a hard stop situation.

Rear disk brakes look cool and can help at high speed but unless you are towing something larger/better rear brakes are more of a marketing thing.

does anyone know where the stereo amp is in a 96 rs convertible???? cant find any info.
