Has anyone used the Lakewood Driveshaft Safety Loop before? I am looking for a good one and noticed it was fairly cheap. It is flat steel, bolt-on, part # 18022.

Am I better off getting a different one? UMI? BMR?

you can get the driveshaft loop on the crossmember mounted torque bar.

i have a straight crossbar in it now, i was hitting everything on the one with the wow in it to clear aftermarket exhaust. kooks tucks in so good it doesnt need it.

You should see how low my UMI one hangs for long tubes, I have like 2" of ground clearance

Socom, whats your opinion of the short torque arms? I just feel like those mounting points were never designed to take that much load... I would only do it if I changed to 3 pt SFC's Im thinking. Im not against it, but just curious/paranoid.

I currently have factory manifolds to the Magnaflow y-pipe and the Flowmaster C/B and it rubs the stock tunnel brace....

I like it. It was really easy to set up and it takes the load off of the transmission. Mines also fully adjustable to I can set my pinion angle. Plenty of people use the tunnel mount and are doing big wheelies I wouldnt bother with 3 pt SFCs unless you plan on doing road racing/autox. I hear they take up lots of room under the car.

Sounds good to me then, I noticed the BMR set up is like $420, so thats not too bad.
I guess if it can take launches like that it'll be fine for my car.

Well I received my new park/marker lenses today, they are a black back ground, but not smoked... so I guess I will have to smoke them myself and hope they dont turn out too dark, wish me luck.

If you're gonna use niteshade spray just do like 2 light coats and it won't be dark. When I had mine I went too much probably like 4 coats but was still able to see lights and blinkers during the day and night time was no problem.
Goodluck.
