Default Stealth Bomber

Hello everyone, starting my build thread here, Ive been lurking around for awhile but havent posted much. I bought this car a few years ago from a good friend of mine, I have been around this car for 10+ years and had to have it. I was finally able to buy it from him and start my first journey into the 4th Gen Camaro.

Here are some pics from when I picked up the car (a few years ago now)

The car already had some mods done to it, here is the break down:

K&N FIPK
Flowmaster Cat Back
3" Cat
Edelbrock 52mm Throttle Body
Edelbrock 3pt Strut Tower Brace
B&M Short Throw Shifter
Hypertech PPIII (Just for Top speed, CAGS, fans, etc)
Pioneer Radio (Hated it)
Clear/smoke lenses
RK Sport Stainless Steel "Z28" Badges
Lowered apx 1.5" (Suspension Techniques coils)
Newer BFG tires (Hated them)
Newer Clutch, Flywheel and Opti
Smooth Front Bumper Cover
Resprayed in "True Black"
Tinted Windows

So I drove the car around like that for awhile, then I got the itch to change up some stuff, first thing was the stereo. I purchased a Kenwood Excelon unit so I would have blue tooth, USB, etc and some Rockford Fosgate Speakers for the doors and sails.

jkeaton,

Thanks man, I really appreicate it! Oh I hated them (salad shooters) from day one, I just couldnt justify buying new wheels until I used up the near new tires the car came with...

craby,

Thanks man, I am trying to get the build caught up to current, there are many more mods on the car now that will help answer your question. But I think I mostly want the "pro touring" type look, I like low, mean, big/wide tires, sleek look (obviously blacked out works well) Im mostly interested in the handling of the car more than drag racing. I did the drag race thing when I was younger and you are just beating/breaking the car if its not dedicated to race.

Here are some more pics from a few months after I had the car. I had just spent all day washing and waxing it, so I had to take some good photos.

I think this is the spoiler. LOL

Next up was getting some factory fog lamps back in the car, the original pair had been damaged in an accident and were long gone. I found a decent pair on the forums and purchased them, they came with the brackets and were fairly easy to install, other than fighting the bumper cover. (I did not take it off to install them)

Anyway, here are the installed pics, I didnt take any of the install unfortunetly...

Next up was doing something about the front license plate, I did not want to use a factory bracket and was sick of it rattling around on the dash. I searched around and stumbled on the folding license plate set up and ordered one. So much better than drilling holes on my clean bumper and hides away when at the local cruise spot.

I also decided to help the engine some by doing the fuel line mod and the hood release mod.

I drove the car as it was for awhile, stored it for winter and didnt really touch it... I was working on some other project vehicles, buying a house, starting a new relationship, blah blah Bottom line, life got in the way...

I finally got everything squared away, moved into the new place, sold off some vehicles and started getting the Camaro itch again.

I drove the car to work one morning and getting on the highway I got a little too frisky and ended up in the back of a Toyota Corolla (I know, I know, I felt like **** believe me!!) So needless to say she headed to the body shop for another new bumper cover, headlight support, etc. Here is a pic of it coming apart at the body shop (the same place that did the respray also)

I finally got the car back from that experience and had to replace the fog lamps and my license plate bracket. I decided to go another route this time and ordered some LED driving lamps, same license plate bracket and a black billet grille.

License plate (I did mount it off to one side this time to hide it more when folded down)
