RE: Project 96
My first attemp at powder coating. I cant get the powder to lay smooth in the groves of the valve covers.
Before cooked:
After cooked:
They are far from perfect but they will look nice with the stainless headers. I should have more pics with a beter camera by the end of the weekend

Quick update. I got my OBX headers and I powder coated some small stuff. I just set the stuff together. Hopfully I will get the upper intake cleaned up and get everything mounted up for real.
Anyone have any other suggestion on part I should powder coat? I have this Chrome and Mirror black and what they call soda red. I would love to do the upper intake but my oven is not big enough. I can do valve cover or small sizes.

It's still going to be a driver. I wanted headers to the improved MPG, that my story and I am sticking to it. The headers where $285 That $80 more then the pacesetters painted ones. Seemed worth it. The chorme powder coat was like $20. The powder coat process takes only a little longer then painting. I do have to speed this project up. I hope to get a lot done this weekend.
