now I will explain how much easyer it can be for the next guy this kinda swap ,took the lt1 out ,about 8 hours ,takeing the wireing that is no longer needed ,that takes a good wireing guy ,had the 406 ready ,just did not relize was going to need th350,it was going to be to much to use the other tranny ,now you clean out engine bay paint if you want ,,the 406 drops right in 15 minutes ,you may want to use a different motor mounts ,we used a new set of lt1 mounts ,modified you may not have to,,then what took a lot of time was right pulley set up ,serpentine,,then you need a opposite turning power steering pump ,used the block off plate ,for gas pump ,using a race style pump ,measure for belt ,for my set up I have very small 75 amp alternator mini ,an to get all I can get the pulley custom made very small to get it turning faster, does the job some don't relize you don't need as much amps as you think runs everything ,don't like I did reuse the manifolds first 500 miles ,get lt1 long tube headers ,the air cleaner is offset forward an down 2inch ,you can reuse your lt1 starter for $60,00 I put a new one ,now mine was about 60 hours ,but think that can be beat to ,I just got gauges ,an the fuel gauge still works just fine ,of the old fuel pump has to be pulled .cutting a hole above the tank ,vented gas cap ,just block off line ,,now the speedo ,there is kit that can be had to make the one in the car work ,I just don't use one for now ,or gps can be used ,they sell a kit for about 150,00 ,this is the basics of my build ,the th350 has 6 inch exstention ,an bolts right up to a 406 flex plate not the lt1 flex plate ,looks like I ended up with 2700 rmp stall coverter ,,there were some big things the guys helped us with hear ,but I now have basically a 1980 components in the 95 camaro ,,I ran high zinc breakin oil ,an will continue to use zinc,i use 20w50 ,I thought mabey it would be to heavey ,but now getting oil pump reading from 60 to 70,feel its great for my set up ,I may play around with that ,an try the next weight down ,I changed the oil at 200 miles then again around 800.00,now got about 1500. miles on the engine ,an could not be any more satisfied ,well a little ,I now have 458tlbs ,an around 400hp ,an upgrade to the heads an crank could give one over 500 hp its all one needs for the road ,I got to say one year later or near ,I am jelous that for $500.00 more they have a 406 with aluminum e street heads scat crank ,an a woping 513 lbs an 450 hp ,these engines are about the torq ,an an 1/8th mile run at red lights ,for those who like a quick light them up ,I just love the sound ,an love the trucks that try to race me sometimes ,I just let then win ,I don't need any tickets ,that should keep this swap pretty simple ,next is the rearend ,oh I got about 100 more hp an 150tlbs ,so its very noticable an the set up is about 150lbs lighter then the lt1 I have not dared smoke the tires couse of the 20 year old reaend.am I had my fun with burnouts with the lt1 I will wait ,an besides burnouts cost down the road?? I know couse one of the last burnouts with the lt1 started this whole thing the water light was going on an off the fans not working when they should I had blown head gasket ,though I drove it for near a year that way an did not know it was small leak ,oh an I was getting the ac fixed ,for now its AC delete ,hear is the northeast only need ac for about few moths of the year ,of that's why they got t tops from fuel injection to carberation

putting a set of highjackers in the rear to bring up the mufflers $69.99 + I may want to go with big tires a few years down the road ,then later tweak the mufflers straight checked the header bolts tight still ,plan with time is to replace all the 20 year old components in the car from the front rack to the rear sway bar ,rearend ,shocks is a good start, they sell a set for 1995 Camaro that come with the springs for the front ,an is one whole piece ,saves on labor set $225.00 autozone for a set with rebate

thank you ,got the shocks on today ,brings it up about 3 inches looks good I think ,could be big tires ,next few years, there all like brand new ,so no big tires yet ,I only average about 7000 to 10.000 miles per year ,I got a new set of fog lights better then stock .an clear side markers an turn signals ,thinking about a new set of tail lights to ,there so cheap ,to make give the car diferent looks ,starting to get my parts together for the passgers side wreck ,not waiting to get paid ,an get the 406 lettering red on the fenders

What size do you have now? I bough 18X9.5 rims for mine and I am planning to put 245s in the front and 275s in the back. Depending on how much power the car will make ill have to get larger but that won't be for a long time anyway. Reading all this stuff is making me want to get my project done even more. It kind of sucks that I haven't been able to work on it the last couple of weeks. I should be getting some parts in the mail tomorrow tho so that I can finish up the wiring on it. Also the paint on your car looks spotless, is that the original paint?

I have 17s on there what used to be called 60s low profile ,I had what used to be called 50s in the back ,those were simple days of tires ,the paint some is new some is old ,that's why I talk about repainting ,I just waxed too,i got like 3 different paint skeems so in right light its seen ,the paint is ok ,but a lot of scratches just cant be avoided ,I try to keep out of sunlight,an waxed 10 times a year ,yes I had that set up 245s I have now all the way around ,the wider tires look good but ,they only last about half the miles ,I am getting like 30.000 out of them wich is great the wider tires was 14.000 with a few burnouts ,not doing any burnouts with these, you will get there ,then you will say it was worth it all ,I could not have done mine my garage its not big enough ,+ you will save on labor ,certain things I can myself when I need a lift my buddy has a lift 2 of them ,so he charges me 40,00 an hour ,most all other is 60.00 an hour ,with my engine it was like 30,00 per hour ,couse I helped a lot

well fired up the beast for last time did seafoam in the tank an crank case ,next year got a lot of plans ,will see how they work out ,plans front end 98 or newer with ss hood ,move my fuel pump to the back of the car or install the one for a road master would not be so loud , rebuild the rearend , ,so a donor car is in the plan ,if I don't run into an ss with 100.000 for 3000.00 ,no I need to stick to the plan with what I got tied up in that car ,but good projects take time ,I put this hear to remind myself ,what I may or may not do ,but theres no doubt I think the car can last for years with carbed engine in it ,its time that can affect our plans sometimes ,as well as other plans an $$$
