Default 94 base to 383 stroker swap ?

Let me start off by saying I know it's gonna be a lot of work and a lot of money but I don't care. I want to make something that is my own.

So I have a 1994 Camaro v6 that I want to swap to a 383 stroker. I've been looking at dresser engines and there are a lot. The main one I was looking at is a blueprints engines 3830CTC1K1 small block Chevy 383ci dress engine which comes with a th350 trans
Do you think it will fit ? Or do I need to get something else. If so any recommendations?

Well my 2cts is sell the V-6 car and find an LT1 Z28 ('93-'97),they can be had on the cheap especially not running and the LT1 while not as strong as the later LS1 (I've owned both) is still a pretty damn strong engine, you could build the LT1 to a 383 stroker and have a wicked fast car. This will be a hell of a lot less work than a conversion which will be full of headaches and in the long run cost you a lot less too.
All that said it is possible to put a 1st gen smallblock in a 4th gen Camaro if you are hellbent on doing it but I would not recommend it.

Of course it will fit, you should be able to find 100's of threads of people who have done it on other sites. I really would advise against it. Something about old tech is new bodies it makes them very hard to sell. In most cases I have seen guys end up taking the cars back a part and selling the parts and scrapping the body.

With roughly the same amount of work and a little more research you could upgrade to a used 6.0 LS truck engine and transmission. In its stock form it is stronger than most 383 and it is easy to get to 500 hp NA. This would increase the value of your car and can be easier on the wallet. You could see a profit and be sure your car stays on the road or track for the next 10 year weather you keep it or not.

So interesting of a topic. There are tons of routes that you could choose. For instance if you think that you like the idea of a 383, instead of using the weaker original LT go for a stroked LS1. I think that the gen III 5.3L is easier/cheaper to stroke to that size than the 5.7L but that I cannot be 100% sure of because I never did the research for genIII. I have a spare LS1 gen IV 5.7L if you’d like to start there; I was going to do a 383ci stroker but I went bigger for cheaper. You could go bigger and do the ls2/ lq4/9 364ci 6.0L to a 408ci 6.7L for about the same price, that’s what I have done. I know that the early LT’s had a number of issues and I have stayed away from them.
