Talking 383 stroke in a 3rd gen

Ok, I've decided against the knight rider replica as it will take too long and be way too costly. So I decided to take my beloved Firebird and put some serious vroom back into him. I am going to keep him white, cause white muscle cars are rare and cool, and add a stripe, inner glow, under glow and colored aluminum engine goodies. I have also decided to put in a ratchet shift kit and, wait for it, a 383 stroker just to be obnoxious lol. The Flowmaster exhaust is without question. Any hints, tips, and or tricks for upgrading from a crappy 2.8 L to the 383 stroker?

there is a thread on the v6 to v8 swap. there is quite a bit of work involved. and as far as an engine, www.blueprintengines.com offers some great budget engines, from long blocks to complete ready to run engines, all with a 30,000 mile warrenty. i plan on getting one of their budget stomper 383's for my car and modify the tpi to work with more power
