Everything is original (150k miles) except plugs and wires. In hindsight, I really should've gotten a new opti when I replaced my water pump, but too late now.

It would be interesting to see what my car dynos at.

I know it would be a little higher because of having an M6 but our setups are pretty similar.

well mine's also running like crap, so I would certainly hope yours dynos higher haha. Over shutdown I plan to replace lifters (been dealing with a bad one for quite a while), delete EGR, clean MAF and air filters, replace fuel filter, and paint the intake manifold.

Also, I find it funny that you comment on my project thread here more often than on mifbody lol

I see. Where do you have project threads that stay updated, then?

So with the weeklong summer shutdown imminent, I have decided to attempt to tackle a bunch of stuff on the car: EGR delete, replace lifters, paint intake manifold as long as it's off, clean air filters and MAF, possibly replace fuel filter, and I got a lead on a good deal on a brand new opti, so I might be doing that too.

Quick question, though: my headers do have provisions for EGR. How should I close those off?

I already have that kit...I meant on the actual headers themselves.

Also, should I use engine enamel on my intake manifold, or should I get it powdercoated?

wow! those wheels truly set the car off, as for getting them off im sure it will take a little bit (mine did when i first put them on), they should get easier to take off and put on. But goodness your car is sexy and dont be sad about a peak of 230hp...ill be lucky to see 160 :P

I dont update it anywhere.

Id have the headers welded up and then use the block off plates for the intake.

I bet an opti will make it rain. We changed mine in like 4 hours. Just read through it before hand. ITs really not that bad.
