1996 Camaro Z28 Project Thread
I know someone with a 3400 stall, and he swears it makes his car "much more fun to drive" on the road. As for autocross, I've never actually done it with my car, it was something else I wanted to dabble in. I want this to be a solid, fun summer DD that will also hold its own quite well in occasional trips to the strip or autocross track.
well after much personal debate, I have settled on a Corvette high-stall converter. I thought it would be the best all-around for my car specifically, and it is also much less expensive than a higher stall. If anything, I believe that I erred on the side of caution, which is better than erring on the other side. Now the shop can finally get to work on putting the transmission back together. Hopefully it will be back on the road in a couple of weeks or so.
just read the whole thread, nice build dude, but sorry to here about the issues. Trans are a pain really as your at the mercy of the builders. Cant believe the one you bought failed, that sucks man

In other news, I picked up an SLP Cold Air Intake and aluminum elbow for $150 today. Unfortunately, they probably won't be on the car until Thanksgiving lol
