1996 Camaro SS Number 78
I'm still shopping for parts... I am looking for a good mild cam set up (preferably as a kit).
I was going to use Jegs but they declined to give me a military discount (I am an active duty commissioned officer in a very small branch of the unformed services). I may shop at Summit instead, but otherwise my little brother will sign up for an account and I will simply order through his account.

Just got off the phone with Summit. They gave me my military discount right away and were professional and courteous in going through what parts I needed (a 35 minute phone call!). Guess who earned all of my future business. It's not Jegs.
OK here comes my update...
I ordered all the gasket kits for the engine, and head studs as well as a new oil pump, pickup and shaft.
I am still searching for an oil pump drive (discontinued apparently).
I also ordered a water pump drive (used because they are also discontinued and mine was missing along with the oil pump drive).
I scored a brand new oem crossover (steam) pipe <--- Also discontinued apparently but need to source the appropriate washers/bolts (any ideas guys?).
And that's all my wallet could take today along with tagging another one of my motorcycles today.

We started pulling the engine apart yesterday. Everything looks. There were a couple of questionable mods (wrong baffle and a homemade crank scraper) but all else looked good. The 4 bolt main was confirmed. Definitely a Corvette motor. It was out of an auto so I need to order the input flange for the manual transmission as well.
